RUNS on MacBook Pro (2011) with OSX 10.7, BUT…..
I use a MacBookPro from 2011 with OSX 10.7.3. Latest OS, with a mid-grade graphics card, and lots of memory. Note, my system is at the bare minimum requirements, and runs the game itself with no problem. The issues Im having are entirely due to this being the first version of the game. I will say this to prospective buyers: This game is worth having, but wait until the bugs are worked out. Watch for the next version, itll be worth every penny once its done right.
When the game DOES run, full environment with decent details (I use low settings on video, and have had zero problems with fps rate). Every now and then an extra character (like a guard that youre interrogating) will have no sound when hest speaking, so I use subtitles.
HOWEVER, 9 times out of 10, when I start this game, it does a constant fast-scroll through the menus, rendering the game unplayable. Even if you time the click to select "Resume", once youre in the game, it scrolls through your inventory so quickly and constantly that you cannot reload or interact with environment. On the "White Box" infiltration level, I gave up and am currently sitting the game out until an update is released.
Im a huge fan of Tom Clancy books, movies, and ESPECIALLY his games. This game has the feel of being great, if only the bugs would be taken care of. Ubisoft, Im well aware of your track record, and the frustration evident in my rating and others should be a wakeup call…this version is painfully subpar, and not because the game itself is bad, but because a mountain of tiny issues drive the gamers up a wall. Please fix this ASAP. I look forward to enjoying my fill of my newest Splinter Cell game when you do finally repair it.
