Crashes on launch on Mac OS Lion/Mountain Lion

Typical Ubisoft, releasing a game with bugs and after all this time since it was released in the app store, still no update/patch. If you buy this game through Steam, theres a workaround that involves installing a new copy of the game launcher, but no such solution seems to exist for the App store version. I am extremely disappointed that my first experience with a brand new game is it instantly crashing on load, with no solution and no patch.
